She was adopted by a family in her village and dreams of making them proud, finishing school with great marks and pursuing a life as a flight attendant.
Poverty can be crippling. It can stunt people’s dreams and keep them trapped. Sometimes we can think that people who are poor have different dreams, that they are content with their lot. But they have dreams as big as ours, they get restless for a better life, they are often better at us at choosing gratitude for what they do have but it doesn’t mean that they are happy to remain trapped.
