From miracles to iTunes vouchers…

It is always at this time of year that we shake our heads, incredulous, wondering how it is that Christmas has crept up on us again so quickly!

Our family are keeping it really simple this year, we’re moving away from the commercialism and giving gifts that make a difference, or have meaning for the receiver, because how many picnic rugs and hampers, or enormous blocks of Toblerone does one need!

If you’re still searching for some gifts along those lines our Christmas Catalogue will help. The gifts you’ll find here have fabulous stories and will provide a real turning point for families who are trapped in a cycle of poverty and for their girls like the beautiful faces featured here.

They’re also really lovely gifts to receive! Our cakes are just delish, our caps are fun and the bags made from recycled saris on a sewing machine powered by feet are beautiful.

It’s so cliche, but why do get caught up in the hype, when Christmas is a celebration of the most generous gift of a peace loving man, born to a young girl innocent and soft enough to be open to a miracle? How do we go from that to iTunes vouchers?!

My kids will each receive probably more than one of those each I’m sure, but you know what I’m saying don’t you? It all seems a bit odd.

My money’s on simplicity and making a difference this year, while enjoying time with people I love. Where’s yours?

Warmly,

Jane for team ‘a Girl & her world’
