Flash back to Kajal’s wedding last year. She was the first Girl we partnered with to finish high school and go on to university – the first one ever in her family to do so.
As we sat under the make-shift tin roof, in the heat, with the delicious smell of curry and the loud sounds of the tabla, we were connected. Connected through love, empathy and knowledge that we are all one-woman. Knowledge that we are more powerful together and that together we are changing the reality for girls and women in rural Fiji. We’re enabling them to go to school, to earn a living, to be protected, to have a choice and to realise their dreams.
